As a few close friends knew, I had plans to go to Australia to see my sweetheart in mid August. I’d be going for 2 weeks and my boss was going to be nice enough to allow me to “work remote” from there instead of having to take vacation time. Today a twist was added..
Tonight I received a proposal from my boss about letting me work from Australia for a month.. he wants to test having Asia/Pacific timezones covered and I could be the guinea pig for the tests. I know my parents will probably ask if I am getting compensated for travel since I’m now “doing work” to test if we need people working during those hours, but it’s my opinion that it’s best to take the gift of extra time with the gf and not risk him pulling my chance to go and be overseas. Anyway, it’s good news.. and I didn’t even have to ask for anything more, I was going to be happy with 2 weeks
